Katie is not only a beautiful bride, but has a delightful personality as well.  We enjoyed getting to know Peter and his family.  In fact, Peter’s father is a pastor and officiated over the service.

The long trip to Minnesota was definitely worth it, as we were privileged to both attend and participate in their wedding.   May the Lord continue to bless you both.

Jana and Paul met while on the mission field in India.  They served the Lord by serving others using their skills in the medical field.

Both of them grew up only a few hours drive apart, but had to go to India to meet one another.  Fortunately for friends and family, they came back “home” to the states to get married.  Paul is attending seminary,  so they will be around for a while as they await the Lord’s leading.

It was evident that those serving Jana and Paul, the extended circle of friends and family,  also have had their lives shaped by the Word of the Lord.  It was our high privilege to photograph their wedding and share with them this special day.

It’s obvious she said “yes”, or we wouldn’t be shooting an engagement photo session.

It was also obvious the location had special significance.

The bridge makes a fitting setting for an engagement session,  symbolizing a transition from one state to another.

It wasn’t really that cold…..trust me.

No grasping at straws here.

Many of you have already seen these two images posted on Facebook.

She’s not heavy, and she’s not my brother.

He gave her an ol’ fashioned encampment kiss as an end to a special engagement session.

It was getting late in the photo shoot, and we were losing our natural light. I asked Candace to sit on the back of the couch and look out the window. I told her to imagine she was watching for her “prince charming”  to come riding up.  She laughed, and I asked her to look at me, and I snapped this picture. The light level was low, so it is a little grainy, but it is still one of my favorite images.

So Josh, this is for you,  prince charming,  a little over five years later.

Now on to the the rest of the wedding photos.  Many of you have seen some of these images on Facebook.

Candace and Joshua were married in a beautiful sanctuary in the presence of many witnesses.

Below is a photo of the bride getting ready. Someone commented on Facebook , “The beautiful Candace”.  I would have to add that while Josh may enjoy her beauty, her proper spirit before the Lord is more rare than an attractive appearance.

Josh and company did not want to be late for the wedding.  Can you blame him?

The family responded to one of Pastor York’s jokes during the message.

At last a photo of the bride, looking even better than her senior photo !

Where did Candace find all these beautiful young ladies?

The happy couple posed just after getting hitched.

A wild bunch in the balcony greet those below.

Attendants worked hard at attending, while Josh and Candace went about their own business.

While I have heard of a cake doughnut, I had never seen a doughnut cake.

Everyone, well almost everyone, sat for a group photo.

Too many friends, not enough time.

Still smiling, the happy couple made  their grand exit among the flurry of bubbles. At this point, Candace still did not know where they were going for their honeymoon.  Josh’s only hint was he told her to make sure she packed hiking boots and a swimsuit.

This photo was Susan’s idea and based on the number of comments,  it was one of the most popular. It serves as an appropriate end to this blog post.

It was so hot we had to look for some clever ways to do our “outdoor” shots indoors, so we took this one out the door.

This is a cool couple, especially since it was shot indoors.

Four, count them, four flower girls helped make the day special.

The rumor is that Ross is a lot heavier than he looks.

Here is the bride with her bridesmaids. Where did she find all those beautiful young ladies?

We had to improvise again by doing the “jumping” shot indoors……much cooler.

Another father makes that long walk down the aisle. Joe is a pro at this, and with several more daughters to go, will likely be making it again.

They charged down the aisle, but had to be called back to be introduced.

They left the church amid flurries of lavender.

A great reception followed the wedding complete with rattling keys and clanging glasses.

Many have asked when and where I will post the dancing photos. There are so many, it may take a while, but I will post them on Facebook in a second separate album.

Until then, these will have to suffice.

The hot July weather did not deter the couple from their appointed tasks.

We found this quaint marble entryway on the courthouse square.

Do they look like a couple with only two weeks to go until the wedding?

They are definitely made for each other.

This is in the sanctuary of Sycamore Reformed Presbyterian Church, which is not the location of their ceremony, but where they are members.

They were shot at a scenic farm near our home west of Kokomo. It was a great evening for a photo session, and the

only trouble was that we eventually ran out of daylight.

I have this attraction for bridges, but Josh seemed to be attracted to something else.

Susan and I are looking forward to Josh and Candace’s wedding……but not as much as they are.

The groom needed a few adjustments to look his best.

Next, a few touch-ups for the bride.

Note the various mixed emotions in the father’s face as he focused his attention down the aisle.

Haley, however, was joyful and enjoyed every minute.

The father gave away his daughter in the presence of many witnesses.  Pastor Barry York jokingly warned Jason that  he had better treat Haley well, because the room was full of men, fathers, friends, and relatives who knew and had come to love and appreciate her.

They left the church amidst a squadron of pink paper airplanes.

The bride and groom paused for yet another photo-op.

And the two became one flesh, or as the sign says: “ONE NEY”.

The wedding party started celebrating. Can you tell who will be next?

The couple enjoyed a  quiet, private moment before the festivities began.

I have never seen a groom so excited about cutting the cake.

The couple led off with their first dance.

Many others soon joined in.

Worn out after a big day of celebrating.

I love close-ups of the bride.

We were able to sneak in the outdoor photos just before it rained.

At the reception, they could not find the knife to cut the cake.  Tara threatened to do the job without the knife, but someone found one just in time.

They left in style in a cool getaway car.

We enjoyed  getting to know Tara and Matt and wish them all the best in their marriage.

May the Lord bless their union as they walk before Him.
