Engagement Session & Booking __________________________________________________________________________
First, we check that we are available for the date you desire.
We schedule the complimentary engagement session.
After we shoot the engagement session, we send the proofs via email.
If you do not wish to book a wedding, the lower resolution digital proofs are yours to keep.
If you like our style and quality, you make a deposit and sign the contract to reserve the date.
You pick at least three of your favorite engagement photos, and we will then send you the high resolution digital photos.
In addition, we will provide complimentary wallet size engagement photos for you to give to your wedding guests.
We will give/send you a checklist of potential poses and photos you would like to have taken, as well as some preparation tips.
After you complete the photo checklist, we prefer to meet with you to discuss the wedding day and go over your desired photo checklist.
Wedding Day __________________________________________________________________________
We try to go to all the wedding venues ahead of time (ie: church, banquet hall, park, etc) to plan our shots if possible.
We usually bring a photographic assistant to the venue to aid in posing and keep track of wedding details.
We arrive early to set up and do final planning. We try to take some venue, ring, bouquet, etc photos until you are ready to begin the preliminary photos of getting ready and any prewedding photos.
We cover the venues as per your request working from the list and look for good candid opportunities in between requested shots.
After shooting the wedding, reception, or other venue we back up the images, making multiple copies.
One of the copies is stored at a remote location.
Editing & Delivery ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
We adjust and color balance the photos and convert them to jpeg files.
We do minor edits and burn the proofs to a CD. The proofs contain a watermark to distinguish them from the final images.
You choose the poses you desire, and pay the balance due.
We retouch your desired images and provide a CD/DVD complete with a written photo release.
The watermarks are removed from the final high resolution CD/DVD.
We can work with you on an album or prints at this time if desired. If you need extra time to choose the images from the CD,
and order the album later, that can be arranged.
Technical Jargon __________________________________________________________________________
If this section is not of interest, just skip it.
We mainly shoot in RAW mode at 21 Megapixels ( Canon 5D MkII ).
This means that every photo must be individually processed and color corrected before it is converted to the
jpeg format that you and others can use.
This takes more processing time, but it results in the highest quality images.
The quality of most of the images on my website would not have been possible if they were shot in the common jpeg format.
We bring two backup cameras, multiple studio strobes, and portable flashes for all events ( Canon 5D, Canon 10D ).
